Of course as exciting as their maternity session was, the newborn session is really what “it’s all about!”
Cruz was so sweet during his session and was happy as a clam as long as he was wrapped up =)

These are two of my favorite relationship images… they are both just totally enamored with their angel!

Beth and her beautiful family are no stranger to my camera.
We’ve done a maternity Session, a newborn Session + growing up sessions with Warren.
Personal images from an amazing vacation with her and two other girlfriends grace my hard drive waiting to be worked on
 and  this is currently my desktop image too!
 In fact, they are even front + center on my website’s splash page.

  
So after all of that…. I knew I shouldn’t be surprised to fall in love with Libby within mere moments of meeting her.
She was so sweet for me for her session. 
She slept and slept and slept and slept some more. 

She is delicate and perfect and as beautiful as her Mom already!
I can’t wait to watch her grow up to be just a lovely a person!

How is it that I am blessed to continually meet new clients who are
just lovely,  genuine and as gorgeous as can be?

Today I spent the afternoon with Kelli + Chandler
and captured their sweet sweet Preston as he enters day 8 of his new life!

Talk about a milk coma!
This kiddo was knocked out from the time he arrived until the very end of our session – I LOVE IT!!!

I got lots of snuggles in with this sweetie,  we got to change set ups a bunch
and his Mom + Dad even got a little resting in!
Perfect session all the way around =)

Let the sleepiness begin!!

I ADORED this set up and got to use one of my new pom-pom wraps!

I can’t wait to hear what Mom + Dad think of these next two shots…
They went to both escape the sweat shop I work in (LOL)
and sneak in a little rest while Preston + I shot these set ups!

 I have a feeling this might be one of their favorites, as it is mine…
They’ve been waiting a LONG time to have a family shot like this
and I couldn’t be happier I was able to capture this special time for them!

We had the most lovely light that evening…

 but little did I know, I was about to FAINT!!!
Thank goodness Maeghan is also a nurse and stayed calm and collected
while I layed down with my feet up in the air – LOL!!

People walking by must have thought
“geez, look at this lady laying on the ground while a 8+ month pregnant woman fans her!!”

Thankfully all this happened at the END of our session and all of their lovely images were already safe and sound in my camera!

Fortunately, there was no such excitement for Hudson’s {arrived!} session!

What a complete and total charmer this little big boy is!
He slept from the time they arrived until the time they left,
apart from a few little squeaks!

I am seriously, totally smitten by this cute boy!!

A few weeks ago, I spent a lovely morning at the Raleigh Little Theatre with Lindsay & Troy.
It wouldn’t be long before their sweet boy would {arrive!} and I was thrilled to capture the anticipation for them!

Well this afternoon, I was blessed to once again spend some time with them,
but the difference today…?
Cael is on the outside now!

At 8 days and about 10lbs, he is a BIG BOY already!
He wasn’t thrilled about the whole sleepy time thing at first,
but once he was all wrapped up he would quickly drift off to dream land!

 ”Cael” is an Irish name, so I thought I’d pull out this sweet hat =)

What an enjoyable afternoon I had photographing this sweet girl!
She certainly gave me a run for my money in the sleep department,
but in the end my tactics won out =)

I had done her arrived session and this would be my first sibling of one of “my” babies!
Not to mention, any time I get to spend with Tarek & Kelley is just icing on the cake!

I carefully planned the details, the new wraps, hiked the thermostat way up (man, was it a sauna in the studio!!!)
and anxiously awaited their arrival. 

Mea was a total charmer, and just like her big sister – as pretty as can be =)

I love the translucency of her wrap in this one!!

The next two are for her Momma who loves purple!

another new wrap – amazing stretch and can take just a little peek though it if you look close =)

We did the same set up for Aliyah’s {arrived!} session – Tarek & Kelley painted her name in Arabic. 
If you could only imagine how hard we had to work for this shot at the very end – LOL!!!
