I have been photographing this beautiful family since Parker was just a few days old and cannot wait to continue to capture them as their family expands this year!
Sessions with the G Family are always fun, no stress and I often leave with what end up being some of my top favorite images -
This session was no different!

Parker is a quick mover these days, but I think he is already proving he is going to be a great big brother!

Brittany & Pat are naturals in front of the camera – making my “work”, no work at all =)

Dumpsters make the most colorful and beautiful backdrops =)

Brittany looks amazing!

I mean seriously? How adorable is he?

I love warm evening light and this session was filled with that and such a fun family!
Braxton is the happiest kiddo and totally on the move!
With kiddo’s like that, it’s all about the quick moments – a snuggle, a smile or a laugh.
I love finding these mere second and capturing them for a lifetime!

He also happens to have the sweetest parents who were naturals in front of the camera!

I have been fortunate to spend much of my time this summer with so many amazing families
and this family is right up there at the top of my list!
Spending time with them is hardly work and brings me so much joy!
I mean really? How could this face not make you happy?

and the “faux-hawk”… I could die of sweetness =)

This picture was not set up, in fact while shooting the family, both the dogs came over with their toys and positioned themselves this way.
Looking back, I could not be happier that this happened as since our session sweet Jersey (on the right) has crossed over Rainbow’s Bridge.

Sometimes, even with my Baby Planners it seems as though too much time goes by before I get to see them again in between sessions
and this is certainly the case with the N Family =)
Earlier this year I photographed Palmer’s {arrived!} session and was thrilled to be back for this 4 month {growing up!} session!

I adore the time I spend with this family and am so blessed to have them as ~~clients~~ friends!

Palmer is just as absolutely sweet as can be and even though the session was mostly about him,
I love capturing at least a few with the whole family!!
Watching him as he begins to change over his first year has been a blessing for me

Cannot wait to see you again in November =)

The always beautiful Duke Gardens provided the most lush setting for my session this morning with Alessandra!
You may remember her from her first {growing up!} session and today she was back for her 8 month session
and brought along her whole family to join in on the fun!

Is this a gorgeous family or what?

This set up was her sister’s idea and I think it’s beautiful!!

I was so happy this am to finally get together with Jesse and Anju for William’s 1st session in his {Growing Up!} Plan!
This August weather has been a bear to schedule around – it’s been either too too hot or raining a lot this month!

Today was our third chance and it was a CHARM!
At just over 4mo’s William is already sitting which is just amazing to me!

LOVE LOVE LOVE how much babies love their toes =)

And of course, I am a total mush when it comes to Mama’s and the love they have for their babies…

Kalea {growing up!} | Raleigh Children & Family Photographer

I have loved every moment spent documenting Kalea’s first year.
It is so bittersweet to see this time come to end.

It is always so exciting to see the world in front of these kiddos who spend so much time in front of my lens.
I am amazed at the wonder they experience as they start to explore their independence.
Blessed to be able to capture some of it.

The secondary in all of these are the amazing people who initially are a “new client inquiry” in my inbox,
but through the grace of God, are now friends.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kalea’s Momma.
She always makes me smile.
Texts me words of encouragement just when I need to hear them and is always a champion of my work.
(plus she always plans a killer wardrobe for their sessions which I LOVE!)

I am SWOONING of this shot… just love that little expression =)

The Alexanders {family ties!} | Wake Forest + Raleigh Family Photographer

One of the things that means the most to me as a photographer are
the clients that continue to trust in me to document their changing lives.

The Alexanders are a family who have done just that – last week for the FIFTH time!

I last saw them when Payton had just {arrived!}!
It seems since then that so much has changed,
Chase is totally a KID now and all traces of the toddler I knew are gone.
Payton has grown up like a weed – sitting up, laughing, adoring her big brother!

It goes to show how important photography is.
To me, these are not just pictures -
This is a document of how lives are evolving, and growing.

Somehow it seems Mothers are rarely in photographs,
Perhaps they are always taking them.
It’s such a privilege to be able to give a Mother images like these.

Not to be outdone… Love this shot of Emil + Chase.

Generations… {family ties!} | Raleigh Family & Children Photographer

Family is an amazing thing.
What never gets old to me as a photographer is seeing a family who
are genuinely still in love and more than that, love how they have expanded and added…

This was the second time I have been blessed to spend time with this gorgeous family!
The first time was in celebration of G’s First Birthday!

It’s hard to believe that was two years ago now and it is already time to celebrate Baby J’s First Birthday!
So in honor of the big birthday boy, the family descended on Raleigh to cheer on his big milestone of turning ONE!
While they were in town, we planned a {generations!} photo shoot which are one of my favorite session types.
To me, it documents the epitome of a connection. Time standing still for even just a few moments.
Memories that even Baby J as he is just starting out in the world will have in the future.
That is so humbling to me.

The beautiful family has expanded to include ten people now,
but it all began with this lovely couple!

They added two wonderful members of their family who now are wonderful adults with amazing families of their own!

Their daughter and her beautiful family…

Their son and his gorgeous family!

I will admit to be being a bit biased on how wonderful this family is,
as I often spend much of my time at my “other job” with this handsome guy who is one of the ER docs
I work with. He makes all of us laugh constantly, teases us when we need to be teased,
and offers his comfort and a hug when that’s needed too!

Sweet Jack and his adorable toes.
Just goes to show that baby toes are adorable at ALL ages, not just the brand new little ones!

I LOVE this shot of “S” and “J” – Baby snuggles are just so special…

and I saved my favorite for last… the absolute joy of a Daddy and his Son…

Day One of Forever {family ties!} | Raleigh Family Photographer

What an amazing gift I was given this today….
Spending time with this gorgeous family on a VERY special morning…

Today is their first official FULL day as a family,
having yesterday signed all the documents needed to give these gorgeous kiddos their “forever family”!!

Tammy is a dear friend of mine and I couldn’t think of anyone else who so badly wanted to be a Mother…
To see that dream come true for her, it just gives me goose bumps!

Ask me what a life full of love and laughter looks like and this is what I would show you:

Grandma and Grandpa are not only smitten with the kiddo’s, but still with one another too =)

and as usual, I saved my favorite for last…
