I have seriously looked at these images and looked at these images trying to narrow down which to share on the blog – I am having the hardest time!!!

Well, that’s not entirely true – I knew when I was snapping these that they would be on here =)

It would have been a crime had Lorri and Dennis not had children – I mean c’mon… they are GORGEOUS!!!!

This next image is a bit deceiving…
we had to get them to climb up a hugely steep hill to get on this wall and I was holding the camera above my head to shoot them straight on like this!!!

Like climbing walls and steep ledges – the Dunn Family was up for everything I threw their way :

see what I mean?!?!?!

One final image that I really like!
Dennis and Lorri are excellent “shaggers” so we wanted to incorporate that – you can see what the kids thought of our idea!

Last week I had a wonderful {in due time!} session with Erika and her husband Jason.
The day was a gorgeous day up until about 2 hours before our session was supposed to start when these dark grey clouds came from nowhere!
We decided to stick it out and see what the weather brought us – RAIN.
It poured on us for about 25 minutes while we waited it out under big golf umbrellas in the middle of my favorite glade.
Fortunately sticking it out was precisely the right thing to do, because the rain passed and left us with some delicious early evening light!

Can’t wait to meet your sweet miss in just a few weeks!!!

Is this not the most perfect belly?

Early last week I was so fortunate to meet and photograph this very sweet boy who barely made a peep the entire session!!!

I absolutely LOVE his name – reminds me of a Danish name in my family that I love =)

I think it fits him well, don’t you?

This pose was all Ender – no fingers for support or photoshop here!!!

Big sister Petra wasn’t too sure about the camera that day, but I adore this shot and think it will always be a favorite of mine!!

I LOVE this sweet smile we captured!!!

We were graced with another gloriously hot day in the triangle,
so we hopped outside at the end to snag some shots of him with some gorgeous light I found in their backyard!

Hind is expecting her third baby any time now!
Often by the time third (and subsequent) babies come around, there isn’t a lot of new and exciting things to plan -
Well for Hind, this was a first go around with Maternity Photographs and I just **know** that years from now,
she is going to be so glad to have captured these precious moments in her pregnancy.

I am dying to know whether this gorgeous bump is going to produce a sweet baby girl or baby boy!!

I had a BLAST with you Hind and hope you love your images!!!

The light was just starting to dip down below the horizon and it was casting this gorgeous pinkish-brown color!!!

Of course, my favorite are last…. Seriously, LOVE these frames!!! Is she glowing or WHAT!!!!

Last weekend I had a blast fighting the heat as per the norm lately with another great family!
Anuja and I had chatted by email but it was so nice to finally meet her and her sweet family in person!
Leo is getting ready to head overseas in the Military and she wanted to capture these moments with her two favorite guys before he left!

Payton {growing up!} | Holly Springs Baby Photographer

Last week I met the sweetest little angel – Miss Payton! It was the first of Four session with her as we journey along the months of her first year!
We are getting started just a hair late on the usual 3mo session, but only by a few days!!
For four months she was hands down one of the most cooperative babies I have photographed for sure!

Stay tuned to watch her grow! For now, meet Miss Payton at {barely} 4 months!!

She was asleep when I arrived, so I snapped a few frames of her asleep in her crib!

and then a few more when she woke up – prettyy brown eyed girl!!

I couldn’t leave her big brother Austin out… Ladies – check out those LASHES!!!!

The light in her nursery was so soft, yet wonderfully bright!!

and just like we started, we ended with her dozing… Not many 4mo olds would even let you try a pose like this, but she was a total champ!!!

Thanks Nichole! Can’t wait to see you again in 2 months!!!

Savannah & Harper {a spot of tea!} | Raleigh Children and Tea Party Photographer

What fun was had this afternoon at this lovely tea party for Savannah and Harper who have been friends since “way back”!!
I think Harper was about 2 weeks old at the most and Savannah about 2 months the first time they “hung out”!

We set up this tea party for them and as a surprise for Savannah’s Mom who couldn’t be here today but who I know is going to love these shots!!!

Here are all the fun details…

The girls were were all decked out for their afternoon tea and as usual the light was just as delicious to me as the tea was to them!!

It wasn’t long before they both figured out there were cupcakes involved!!!

Savannah decided to help herself to another {spot of tea}…

While Harper decided that she was going to head right for the cupcakes!

I think she enjoyed it huh?

It looks like Savannah had a pretty good time as well!

I’m sure as the years go on, these girls will have lots to chat about while they catch up over a {spot of tea!}

I know I keep saying that I have shoots on the hottest day of the year, but Holy, it has been NO JOKE lately!!!
Sarah, Travis and Lillian drove all the way up from Charlotte to do Lillian’s First Year Session and Cake Smash and the heat just did not let up!
It always amazes me though how little the kids seem phased by it and Lillian was no exception!

As hot as it was, I am always thankful when we are blessed with wonderful soft light!!

I mean, does this gorgeous girl look like an angel or what?

It’s obvious where she gets her status in the “good lookin’ department huh”?

A definite contender for an all time favorite. Her expression is priceless!!!

We finished the session off with a fun Cake Smash!

My guess is that she enjoyed the cake…

Travis {growing up!} | Wake Forest Children’s Photographer

I have been looking forward to seeing Travis again since I last saw him for his Birth Session and Arrived Session -
As always, these 6 months have just flown by!!!

We met up at a favorite location of mine – Joyner Park in Wake Forest!
We were so relieved that we had a break in the heat/humidity that has blanketed us lately too =)

His Momma sent me the link to this hat about a month before his session and I was dying to see it!
Even cuter in person than I could have imagined!!!

This was a quilt made specially for Travis!!

Love these last two images – the bokeh is drool worthy!

Travis – he’s the “little brother” to FOUR older siblings!! It was great seeing you again Kim & Travis!!!

William {growing up!} Goldsboro Children’s Photographer

It’s been almost two weeks since I captured these moments of William – Gosh, even the days are flying by me now and now just the months!!!
I am so fortunate to be able to meet such loving and wonderful families – William and his Momma Alex were nothing short of those things either!
It makes my job so easy =)

We moved the session a little earlier because it has been so hot and it was a Godsend!
Just about 45 minutes into our session and just at the time we were set to have started, it began raining!

William was such a ham for the camera that 45 minutes was all we needed to capture some great frames of him!!

Sometimes it just feels good to have an “old friend” with you =)
